[Financial News] Kolon Benit has jointly developed and launched the 'IoT Electric Safety Prediction Warning System' with Daesin PIC. This system is an electric safety prediction warning system that can detect and respond to electrical fires and electric shock accidents in advance through real-time self-diagnosis and remote monitoring functions.
According to Kolon Benit on the 23rd, the two companies have jointly developed an electric safety (fire, electric shock, leakage) prediction warning system and an integrated Internet of Things (IoT) electric safety monitoring solution for managing large buildings and plant facilities. Daesin PIC provides the 'three-phase power quality analyzer' with domestic patents and related technical information, while Kolon Benit utilizes its IoT platform development capabilities to build a real-time control system and mobile platform.
This business was initiated in line with the enforcement of laws related to the newly established Electric Safety Management Act in 2023. According to the announcement by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, it is virtually mandatory to build a 'remote monitoring and control system' that includes remote blocking, warning, and communication functions by detecting abnormal signals such as voltage, current, frequency, and ground faults in real-time for the safety and efficient management of electrical installations.
Kolon Benit's electric safety monitoring solution is designed to precisely diagnose and systematically manage the state of electrical installations. Based on real-time data collection, abnormal signal detection, visualization, and risk response functions, it optimizes the power supply environment to enhance the asset management efficiency of customers. Additionally, it can intuitively analyze and manage power usage and safety status in real-time with four main tabs: power analyzer installation location, device management, control monitoring, and operation management dashboard.
Daesin PIC's 'three-phase power quality analyzer' is a high-performance device capable of analyzing both low and high voltage power in the range of 380V to 7.2kV, making it highly useful in high-risk facilities by precisely detecting electrical abnormal signals. The electric safety monitoring solution developed by Kolon Benit, which is linked with this equipment, enhances control efficiency by building both a PC-based system and a mobile platform. In the future, the two companies plan to upgrade the functionality to an AI and big data-based electric fire prevention platform that can provide predictive maintenance and maintenance services.
Kolon Benit Director Park Chan-jeong stated, "With the enforcement of the Electric Safety Management Act, the mandatory application of power monitoring systems is expected to expand further," and "We will actively support customers to prevent safety accidents in advance and realize efficient asset management of power infrastructure with the latest IoT technology-based prediction warning system."
