HDC Hyundai Development Company, Collaborates with Global Design Firm LERA for Songpa Hanyang 2nd Phase Contract

[Financial News] HDC Hyundai Development Company, following the Yongsan Maintenance Depot, is partnering with American structural design firm LERA for the Songpa Hanyang 2nd Phase reconstruction project.
According to the maintenance industry on the 23rd, the Songpa Hanyang 2nd Apartment reconstruction project involves demolishing old apartments and constructing a maximum of 29 floors, totaling 1,346 units, in a project worth 685.6 billion won. 
HDC Hyundai Development Company plans to showcase a premium residential complex with excellent seismic performance and structural stability through its collaboration with LERA. LERA plans to introduce cutting-edge structural engineering design technologies in this project, including △special vibration damping device application technology △performance-based structural design △special seismic design technology △wind load resistance design technology △residential stability design technology combined with the latest architectural design.
A representative from HDC Hyundai Development Company stated, "Based on our collaboration with LERA, which possesses world-class structural design technology, we will implement a residential complex that combines structural safety and quality," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that the Songpa Hanyang 2nd Phase reconstruction project becomes a representative reconstruction case for the southeast region of Seoul beyond Jamsil."
LERA is a global engineering company that has performed structural design for world-renowned skyscraper landmarks such as the World Trade Center in New York, USA, the Shanghai World Financial Center in China, and the Merdeka PNB 118 in Malaysia. Domestically, they have been responsible for the structural design of landmark buildings such as the Jamsil Lotte World Tower, Yeouido Park One, Incheon International Airport, and the currently under-construction Busan Lotte Tower.
