[Financial News] LX Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX Corporation) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 21st that they will establish advanced spatial information technology and systems in cooperation with Indonesia.
The corporation plans to invest approximately 4.6 billion won over 30 months in the project, aiming to solve urban problems and innovate public services.
The core of this project is to establish a 3D digital twin-based spatial information system centered on Jakarta, Indonesia. It was promoted following an official request from the Indonesian Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning last year to establish a 3D spatial information system in our country, and it is expected to become a major achievement of our country's Official Development Assistance (ODA) policy.
Domestic digital twin specialized private companies will also participate in the project. It aims to resolve chronic issues in land administration, such as discrepancies between unregistered land and cadastral information in Indonesia and inefficiencies in inter-departmental collaboration.
In particular, it systematically manages the value and rights relationships of above-ground and underground data, supporting urban problem diagnosis, citizen service improvement, and strengthening environmental and disaster response capabilities.
Previously, on the 16th, Virgo Eresta Jaya, Director of the Indonesian National Land Agency, Cho Seong-tae, Land and Transport Officer at the Korean Embassy in Indonesia, Yang Jong-ho, Land and Transport Officer at the Korea-ASEAN Representative Office, and Shim Byeong-seop, Head of Spatial Information Division at LX Corporation, attended the 'Indonesia 3D Spatial Information Pilot Project Launch Meeting' and pledged successful execution and continuous cooperation.
Shim Byeong-seop, Head of Spatial Information Division at LX Corporation, said, "We will do our best to make this a representative case for the global expansion of the K-Smart City strategy based on government, public, and private cooperation."
