Energy Ministers from Over 40 Countries to Ride Hydrogen Cars in Busan in August

[Financial News] Ministers and government delegations from over 40 countries participating in the Energy Super Week event in Busan in August are expected to ride hydrogen and electric cars.
On the 22nd, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hyundai Motor Group for the sponsorship of eco-friendly vehicles.
Hyundai Motor Group will provide a total of 63 vehicles, emphasizing the role of electric and hydrogen cars as a means to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector and promoting the excellent technology of our companies.
The Energy Super Week will be held in Busan from August 25 to 29, in conjunction with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Energy Ministers' Meeting, the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) and Mission Innovation (MI) Ministerial Meetings, and the Climate Industry International Expo, with over 40 countries' ministers and approximately 35,000 attendees expected.
Energy ministers from various countries, international organizations, and high-level public and private officials will discuss the future direction of energy together, and exhibitions of companies in the climate and energy sectors, such as clean power, future mobility, and environment, will also be held.
Lee Ho-hyun, the second vice minister of the Ministry of Industry, said, "The Energy Super Week is an opportunity to inform the international community of the new government's energy policy direction and to promote the excellence of our companies," adding, "We will do our best to ensure the successful completion of the Energy Super Week event."
