Enhancing Expertise and Reliability in Tree Appraisal Using Forest Biodiversity Information
The Korea Association of Property Appraisers announced on the 22nd that it signed a 'memorandum of understanding on the establishment of cooperation' with the National Arboretum at the Property Appraisal Society Hall in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the 21st.
The National Arboretum will provide information such as scientific names, morphological descriptions, and image data of forest species recorded in the National Species Knowledge Information System. The association plans to use this information as standard reference material during appraisals and to publish a tree appraisal data book in the future.
Through this, the two organizations expect to enhance the expertise and reliability of tree appraisal, protect the property rights of citizens, and contribute to the enhancement of the public value of forest biodiversity.
Yang Gil-su, President of the Korea Association of Property Appraisers, stated, "The organizations have been constantly striving to improve the quality of life for citizens and the development of the national economy in their respective fields," adding, "Based on the professional experience of both organizations, we will further strengthen the expertise of public project compensation appraisals to protect and enhance public value."
