[Financial News] Disney+ original series 'Fine: Country Bumpkins' has topped the charts in 3 countries including Korea, Japan, and Taiwan after its release, and interest in the original webtoon is also heating up.
According to Kakao Entertainment on the 22nd, the popular IP by writer Yoon Taeho, 'Fine', has achieved a significant increase in views and sales, creating synergy with the Disney+ original series. 
The views of Kakao Webtoon 'Fine' increased approximately 58 times in the third week of July (July 14~20) compared to the third week of June (June 16~22) a month ago. Sales also increased about 26 times during the same period, showing a significant rise. Previously, Kakao Webtoon 'Fine' recorded 100 million cumulative views and 22,000 comments, and is one of the representative works of writer Yoon Taeho, who has vividly depicted human figures and slices of the times in works like 'Misaeng', 'Moss', and 'Child'. Published by Super Comics Studio, it tells the gripping story of criminals gathered to plunder treasures buried in the sea off Sinan, with a solid storyline that has won great love.
The Disney+ original series 'Fine: Country Bumpkins', adapted from the webtoon 'Fine', also gained great popularity immediately upon its release on the 16th. According to the OTT platform viewing ranking site 'FlixPatrol', the Disney+ original series 'Fine: Country Bumpkins' ranked first in the Disney+ TV show category in Korea within two days of its release, and reached the top 3 in Japan and Taiwan as well. It also ranked first in the overall ranking of series and movies on the domestic OTT search and recommendation platform 'Kinolights'.
The work depicts the deceiving story of diligent, livelihood-type country bumpkins who flocked to seize a treasure ship buried in the sea in 1977, featuring veteran actors such as Ryu Seung-ryong, Yang Se-jong, Lim Soo-jung, and Kim Eui-sung. Following the release of the third episode on the 16th, two episodes are released every Wednesday until the 13th of next month.
