[Financial News] It was found that the starting salary for new employees can differ by more than 6 million won depending on the job.
On the 23rd, career platform JobPlanet analyzed new starting salary data for 2024-2025 and found that the median starting salary for the 'Research and Development' role was the highest at 34.3 million won. 'Media and Public Relations' was the lowest at 28.04 million won. The gap between the two roles was 6.26 million won.
This analysis was based on more than 1.42 million verified reviews based on public data, including employment insurance. It was explained that the median value was used as the basis for aggregation to reduce the possibility of distortion.
The top job roles in terms of median starting salary were △Research and Development (34.3 million won) △Production and Manufacturing (34.04 million won) △Sales and Partnerships (33.17 million won) △Production Management and Quality Control (33 million won) △Engineering (32.48 million won) △Development (32.3 million won).
On the other hand, △Design (28.55 million won) △Marketing and Market Research (28.8 million won) △Service and Customer Support (28.93 million won) remained at relatively low levels.
