71-Year-Old Trans Woman Stabs and Slashes Husband 50 Times with Samurai Sword

[Financial News] In Brighton, UK, 71-year-old trans woman Joanna Rowland-Stewart is facing trial for stabbing and slashing her husband over 50 times with a samurai sword she purchased in the 1980s.
On the 22nd, according to UK media Daily Mail, on May 27 last year, Joanna attacked her husband Andrew (69 years old) with a sword in their 15th-floor apartment on Lavender Street, inflicting fatal injuries.
In a police investigation, Joanna claimed that her husband first attacked her with the sword, stating, "I had no choice but to kill him in self-defense."
However, the police and paramedics who arrived at the scene determined that Andrew's injuries were excessively severe and life-threatening.
The court deemed Joanna to be in a 'state incapable of standing trial' and is proceeding with the case without her psychological evaluation. The jury will deliberate on whether Joanna's actions were illegal.
The prosecution emphasized, "The repeated attacks over 50 times cannot be considered self-defense and constitute excessive use of force."
