[Financial News] The special prosecutor team for treason and foreign affairs (Cho Eun-seok special prosecutor) has demanded the appearance of former President Yoon Suk-yeol's lawyer.

It is related to suspicions that the arrest warrant for former President Yoon was leaked to the outside, obstructing the special prosecutor's investigation.

According to the legal community on the 22nd, the special prosecutor team has requested lawyer A, a member of former President Yoon's legal team, to appear at the Seoul High Prosecutor's Office building, where the special prosecutor's office is located, on the 25th.

On the 7th, the special prosecutor team stated that the arrest warrant for former President Yoon was leaked through the legal team, and that the disclosure of the facts and statements of those involved to the outside is obstructing the investigation.

They also warned that after investigating the circumstances of the leak by dispatching three police officers, they could criminally prosecute for violation of the Personal Information Protection Act and for leaking business secrets under the Criminal Act.

Article 22 of the Special Prosecutor Act stipulates that 'a person who obstructs the performance of duties of the special prosecutor, etc., by deceit or force shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than five years.'

However, lawyer A intends to request a postponement of the investigation. It is known that lawyer A also handles the special prosecutor team investigation defense for Kim Keon-hee, the wife of former President Yoon, making it difficult to appear on the 25th.
