S-OIL Actively Engages in Social Contribution Under the 'Sunshine Sharing' Vision

S-OIL is a company that continuously and actively engages in social contribution activities. Under the vision of 'Sunshine Sharing', it fulfills its responsibility as a corporate citizen and actively engages in social contribution activities to extend a helping hand to various parts of society.
In particular, focusing on the four major guardian campaigns of heroes, environment, community, and marginalized neighbors, it has developed and continuously implemented numerous new programs such as the Citizen Hero Guardian, Natural Monument Guardian, Gas Station Sharing N Campaign, Heating Oil Support for Low-Income Families Hope to you(油) Campaign, and support for the Heart Heart Orchestra for the developmentally disabled. In recognition of these achievements, it was awarded the Presidential Commendation on Social Welfare Day in 2024.
S-OIL shows high enthusiasm not only for sharing with marginalized groups but also for co-growth with partner companies. It provides consulting support for obtaining safety certifications to enhance the competitiveness and safety management capabilities of partner companies. So far, a total of 33 partner companies have obtained the Safety and Health Management System (KOSHA-MS) certification through this. This consulting program helps partner companies with the lack of experience in building safety and health management systems amid the expansion of the Serious Accident Punishment Act, by providing detailed implementation plans such as identifying and improving harmful risk factors, and methods for evaluating supervisors, which is considered to be of practical help to partner companies.
Additionally, S-OIL contributes to the welfare of partner company employees. A representative example is the scholarship program established in 2022. S-OIL donates co-prosperity scholarships annually to encourage the long-term service of partner company employees and contribute to the continuous growth and development of partner companies, targeting children of partner company employees and university students recommended by social welfare institutions. In addition, it supports rest facilities to manage the health of partner company employees during the summer and prevent heat-related illnesses.
In December last year, it invited over 440 partner company representatives to hold a purchasing briefing session. At this event, S-OIL introduced the purchasing-related procedures, policies, and compliance security and ethical management guidelines it operates, in line with the trend of expanding the importance of supply chain environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management, and announced plans to continuously support the ESG management of partner companies.
