[Financial News] Song Chi-young, President of the Small Business Federation(photo), urged the public on the 21st to "please use the consumption coupons at our local small business stores" in relation to the application for the 'Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons'.
President Song issued a statement that day, emphasizing, "The distribution of livelihood recovery consumption coupons is welcome news like rain in a drought for the stagnant domestic market, but for this policy to truly serve as a primer for livelihood recovery, the wise consumption of the public is crucial."
He particularly urged, "Please use the consumption coupons at local restaurants, small cafes, alley shops, and traditional markets, which are responsible for the livelihood of your neighbors and family," and stated, "Each and every wise small consumption by the public will be a great hope and support for small businesses in Korea."
The Small Business Federation hopes that this consumption coupon policy will lead to the recovery of vitality in the regional economy and further the national economy beyond personal consumption. President Song expressed regret that the use of consumption coupons was allowed at certain regional Hanaro Marts or small and medium-sized food material marts, but added, "Especially at times like this, please empower small businesses through wise consumption."
He emphasized, "Korean small businesses have protected the alley economy with quality products and sincere service even in difficult times," and added, "Now is the time for the public to extend a warm hand."
The Small Business Federation plans to support the maximization of the small business economic revitalization effect of the consumption coupons through various private-level activities encompassing both regional and national levels. President Song reiterated his call for active participation from the public, saying, "Your consumption can collectively inject vitality into the entire Korean economy."
