[Financial News] Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 21st that it will hold the '2025 Happy Move' launch ceremony at Hyundai Motorstudio located in Goyang, Gyeonggi, and start full-scale operation.
'Happy Move' is a representative social contribution (CSR) project of Hyundai Motor Group that supports university students to grow as leaders of future generations through education and experiences related to eco-friendliness. Since its inception in 2008, it has produced more than 10,000 members until last year.
Hyundai Motor Group recruited applicants from university students nationwide from June 21 to July 4, and selected a total of 100 members through document and interview screening.
This year's program includes △domestic volunteer activities △domestic and overseas eco-friendly facility explorations △proposal of new CSR project ideas by Hyundai Motor Group, and strengthened connections with Hyundai Motor Group's representative future businesses such as hydrogen and robotics.
Immediately after the launch ceremony, members will conduct group volunteer activities for 3 nights and 4 days in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, a wildfire-affected area where Hyundai Motor Group is conducting ecological restoration activities, and Mihogang in Jincheon, Chungbuk. They will then visit the bioenergy center and hydrogen production facility in Chungju, Chungbuk, to observe the process of producing hydrogen using food waste.
In August, members will choose between Singapore and Switzerland for overseas exploration.
In Singapore, they will experience the future mobility manufacturing process based on advanced technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence at the 'Singapore Global Innovation Center (HMGICS)', a representative innovation hub of Hyundai Motor Group, and explore various eco-friendly landmarks. In Switzerland, they will visit 'Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility (HHM)', a European eco-friendly commercial vehicle sales hub, green hydrogen production facilities, the United Nations (UN) European headquarters, and nature conservation areas.
This 2025 Happy Move will enhance the program's expertise by conducting cooperative education with the 'International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)', an international organization specializing in eco-friendliness, and holding lectures by various experts in the eco-friendly field.
Members will form teams to propose new CSR project ideas of Hyundai Motor Group at the completion ceremony scheduled for September 26, based on the content acquired throughout the program and advice from employee mentors. Teams proposing excellent ideas will be awarded, and the ideas will be pursued as actual CSR project initiatives.
A Hyundai Motor Group representative stated, "We have prepared a program centered on education and experience that reflects various social and environmental issues," and "We hope this 2025 Happy Move will be an opportunity for university students to grow as future eco-friendly leaders."
