[Financial News] DL E&C announced on the 21st that it signed a Bucheon-style New Deal policy economic vitality business agreement with Bucheon City at Bucheon City Hall on the 18th.
This agreement was promoted based on a consensus that policy support from local governments is needed for local economic revitalization and job creation.
Currently, DL E&C is in charge of the construction of the Bucheon Cogeneration Plant modernization project. The Bucheon Cogeneration Plant is a large-scale construction site where up to 500 workers are deployed daily, and construction began in December 2023, with a current progress rate of 25%.
With this agreement, DL E&C plans to utilize local companies, equipment, and materials, and prioritize hiring local manpower. Through this, they plan to invigorate the local economy by creating jobs. Additionally, they aim to create a labor environment without wage arrears and a safe and healthy work environment.
Bucheon City will provide administrative support to ensure that data such as the status of local companies, manpower, equipment, and materials can be efficiently utilized.
Seong-Geun Kim, head of DL E&C's domestic power generation business, said, "I am pleased to contribute to the revitalization of the Bucheon area where the construction site is located," and "I will take the lead in creating a construction culture that coexists with the local community through active communication and cooperation with Bucheon City in the future."
Yong-Ik Jo, Mayor of Bucheon, said, "Thank you for joining us in important projects of Bucheon City despite difficult economic conditions and for your efforts in developing the local economy," and "Please actively strive to expand opportunities for excellent local companies to participate in construction projects and achieve good results together with the local community."
