[Financial News] “From design to construction, finishing, and post-occupancy management, I will not evade responsibility at any stage. As the CEO, I will personally oversee the entire process.”
Kim Bohyun, CEO of Daewoo Construction, expressed this strong commitment to winning the contract at the first joint briefing session for the Gaepo Woosung 7th Phase reconstruction project held at the SETEC convention hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on the 20th. The briefing was attended by key executives, including the head of the Housing and Architecture Business Division and the head of the Financial Management Office, as well as employees from the Housing Business Division. Toner Mikera, the chief designer of the global architectural firm 'Wilmotte' from France, also visited the site, drawing attention.
The briefing hall, equipped with a large stage and podium, was filled with members, and the session proceeded for nearly 2 hours in a tense atmosphere. Daewoo Construction, with a month left before the contractor selection general meeting, arranged a session where the CEO directly communicated with the members, demonstrating a strong commitment to winning the contract.
Kim emphasized, “Choosing Gaepo Woosung 7th Phase as the first application site after the full renewal of the Summit brand is no coincidence,” adding, “This place can most clearly show the standards of luxury housing that Summit aims for.”
Toner Mikera, the chief designer, also conducted a presentation, stating, “Gaepo is an exceptionally attractive location even within Seoul,” and confidently predicted, “Gaepo Woosung 7th Phase will become an iconic building representing Gangnam.”
Through the briefing, Daewoo Construction unveiled various luxury strategies and specialized designs that members could feel. Firstly, all units within the complex are arranged 100% facing south, and a three-sided view design is introduced to maximize the view. Additionally, each unit is provided with a private elevator, and community facilities and underground parking are evenly distributed across all buildings to enhance convenience for residents. Kim explained, “The goal in design was ‘luxury without privilege,’ ensuring that all units can equally enjoy comfort.”

In terms of business conditions, bold proposals continued. Daewoo Construction formalized △Guaranteed completion △Minimization of contribution payments △Full acceptance of the contract proposed by the association. In particular, by actively proposing financial strategies to reduce the burden on members, it was evaluated as focusing on the members' substantial benefits. On-site, there was a reaction that “conditions like this are worth serious consideration.”
In the latter part of the briefing, a Q&A session followed, with members pouring out specific questions about complex design, contribution payments, and community composition. Daewoo Construction's management directly took the microphone to answer each question. Kim reiterated, “What I said today is not just a ‘proposal’ but a ‘promise’ that I will take responsibility for and uphold as the CEO,” emphasizing, “I will not evade responsibility for management after occupancy.”
Meanwhile, Daewoo Construction will operate the dedicated promotional center ‘Summit Pranity’ for Gaepo Woosung 7th Phase from the 21st until the day before the contractor selection general meeting on August 22nd. Located on the 2nd floor of Sorim Building, 53 Ilwon-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, the promotional center is a dedicated viewing space for members, where they can directly check luxury strategies, specialized designs, and financial conditions. Viewing is operated by text reservation and is available 4 times on weekdays and 6 times on weekends.
