[Financial News] Hyundai Construction announced on the 21st that it has published the '2025 Sustainability Management Report' containing a mid- to long-term strategy for advancing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management. This report includes execution strategies and key achievements aimed at realizing carbon neutrality across the entire value chain by 2045.
Hyundai Construction has established three major strategies and nine execution tasks to achieve the new vision 'We Build a Sustainable Future': △Building stakeholder trust △Realizing a low-carbon society △Providing a better life. Especially this year, in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), a double materiality assessment was conducted to select three major issues: △Industrial safety and health △Climate change response △Quality management.
Key achievements include a reduction of 112,693 tCO₂e in greenhouse gas Scope 1·2 emissions compared to the previous year, and the expansion of sustainable product sales to 10.1236 trillion KRW according to EU taxonomy standards. Additionally, the co-growth fund operated 166 billion KRW, maintaining the highest grade for six consecutive years, and safety management investment increased by 16% compared to the previous year.
Furthermore, efforts are being accelerated in expanding the low-carbon portfolio such as offshore wind power, SMR (Small Modular Reactor), and hydrogen, as well as strengthening the ESG governance system. The company regularly reports the overall implementation status through the Transparency Management Committee and the Sustainability Management Council, and the results are linked to each department's KPI.
Meanwhile, Hyundai Construction continues its achievements by being included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for 15 consecutive years and being listed in the CDP Korea Hall of Fame for seven consecutive years.
A Hyundai Construction representative stated, "We are transparently disclosing ESG performance based on data to respond to the demands of global stakeholders," and "We will further solidify our position as a leading ESG company based on international certification."
