Applicants can file an objection with Gukmin Sinmungo if they have any objections regarding the payment amount of the coupon. However, the government will apply a day-of-the-week system in the first week (from July 21 to 25) to prevent system overload due to increased access.
The day-of-the-week system is based on the last digit of the birth year: △Monday, 1·6 △Tuesday, 2·7 △Wednesday, 3·8 △Thursday, 4·9 △Friday, 5·0. For example, if the last digit of your birth year is 2, you can file an objection on Tuesday, and if it is 0, on Friday.
Objections can be filed via computer (PC), mobile phone, etc. After going through the identity verification process, fill out the objection form with your name and contact information, attach supporting documents, and select the basic local government that oversees your registered address as of the reference date (June 18, 2025) as the processing agency.
The submitted objections can be checked on the Gukmin Sinmungo website once they are reviewed and processed by the relevant local government.
Kim Gi-seon, Director of the Policy Improvement Bureau of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, said, "We have opened an objection window on Gukmin Sinmungo to make it easy and convenient for the public to apply online for objections related to the payment of the People's Livelihood Recovery Coupon," adding, "Since the payment of the People's Livelihood Recovery Coupon is divided into 1st and 2nd phases and conducted over a long period, we will thoroughly prepare to ensure that the objection window is operated without any issues until the payment is completed."
