"Another Electric Car Fire in Underground Parking Lot"... Residents Evacuate Hastily

[Financial News] In the underground parking lot of a residential complex in Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungnam, a fire broke out in an electric car at dawn on the 21st, and the fire authorities are conducting firefighting operations.

The fire authorities issued a Level 1 response at 6:14 AM and deployed 31 to 50 pieces of equipment, including fire trucks, from 3 to 7 nearby fire stations to carry out firefighting operations.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.

Cheonan City sent a disaster safety text message to citizens at 6:47 AM, requesting "cooperation in detouring roads near the building when driving." It added that evacuation of nearby residents is necessary due to the large amount of smoke generated by the fire.

A fire department official said, "As soon as the fire suppression is completed, we will investigate the exact cause and damage status."
