Aekyung Chemical is expanding the integration of AI technology across all its business divisions. This is to achieve management innovation in terms of work efficiency, quality improvement, and cost reduction.
Aekyung Chemical recently announced on the 21st that after introducing an AI-based document search system in the research and development division, it has also expanded its application to the compliance office. It is designed to learn the latest reports, research cases, and precedents in response to changes in the external environment and provide necessary information. It can analyze complex legal documents, identify contract risks, and assist in searching government policy materials and corporate reports. Given the nature of AI technology, which learns and evolves as data accumulates, it is expected to gather and provide even more diverse and extensive information in the future. Aekyung Chemical plans to expand its application to other departments to strengthen its infrastructure once the effectiveness of improving work efficiency is proven through sufficient testing.
Additionally, Aekyung Chemical is developing an algorithm that learns manufacturing processes and analyzes and applies big data, which is currently being applied to the factory production line. By building and using an AI-based integrated automation system, they have succeeded in stabilizing the automation of oil-water separation in products and detecting de-solvents in water-dispersed polyurethane resin to enhance safety. This has also helped solve the problem of the non-yellowing curing agent mixing process, which has been challenging due to technical limitations.
Aekyung Chemical plans to continue expanding the application of AI technology across all areas, including research, compliance, production sites, logistics, and quality, to improve problem-solving capabilities and increase work efficiency.
An Aekyung Chemical representative emphasized, "We will sequentially introduce AI technology where needed in our work to promote company-wide management innovation."
