The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 21st that the police special forces discovered and safely removed homemade explosives, including gasoline and a timer, at the residence of suspect Mr. A in Ssangmun-dong, Dobong-gu, Seoul.
After securing a statement from Mr. A that he had installed explosives at his residence in Ssangmun-dong, the police evacuated all 105 residents of the building and conducted a site search.
The police discovered homemade explosives, including gasoline and a timer, at the scene. The police special forces safely removed them.
Earlier, Mr. A was arrested as a suspect in a shooting incident that occurred at 9:31 PM the previous day at a residential complex in Songdo International City.
The police responded to a report stating, 'The father-in-law shot the husband,' and found a man in his 30s, Mr. B, collapsed at the scene. Mr. B was transported to the hospital but fell into cardiac arrest and subsequently passed away.
