Tropical nights and gusty rain in the south... Air quality 'Good' in most of the country
[Financial News] On the 21st, as the whole country is boiling with heat, showers are expected to pass mainly inland, showing distinct weather changes by region.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, rain will come and go in Jeonnam, Gyeongnam, and Jeju until the morning, in Jeonbuk and Gyeongbuk from 9 a.m., and in the metropolitan area, Gangwon, and Chungcheong in the afternoon. In particular, the southern regions are expected to have strong showers reaching 30~50mm per hour, requiring special attention to safety accidents such as landslides or flooding.
The expected precipitation is predicted to be 540mm in the metropolitan area, Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang regions.
As of 5 a.m. on this day, the temperature was 25.7°C in Seoul, 25.9°C in Incheon, 24.0°C in Suwon, 26.2°C in Gangneung, 26.3°C in Cheongju, 26.2°C in Gwangju, and 27.0°C in Jeju, with most areas exceeding the tropical night baseline of 25°C. The maximum daytime temperature is expected to rise to 30~34°C.
Compared to the average year, temperatures are generally 1~2°C higher, and there is a high possibility of tropical nights occurring in some areas overnight.
Fine dust will maintain a 'Good' level as air diffusion is smooth across all regions.
At sea, relatively calm waves of 0.51.5m are expected in the East Sea and South Sea offshore. In the far inner sea, waves up to 2.5m are predicted in the South Sea, requiring caution during navigation or fishing.
