CJ ENM Successfully Concludes '2025 International Emmy Awards' Semi-Final Judging

CJ ENM announced on the 20th that it has successfully hosted the 'International Emmy Awards' semi-final judging, organized by global leading entertainment companies, solidifying its position as a global IP powerhouse.
Started in 1973, the International Emmy Awards is a prestigious awards ceremony targeting TV programs produced outside the United States, and is considered one of the world's top three broadcasting awards along with the Banff Rocky Awards and the Monte Carlo TV Festival in Monaco.
The semi-final judging, which selects the final entries for each category, is hosted by companies leading the entertainment industry worldwide. CJ ENM, as a global entertainment company representing Korea, has attracted this year's semi-final event to Seoul.
The judging took place on the 17th at the CJ CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall Cine de Chef screening room, with judges including key figures from global entertainment companies such as CJ ENM, Amazon Prime Video, The Walt Disney Company, iQIYI, Rakuten Viki, U-NEXT, Video, Viu, Warner Bros. Discovery, Youku, and others.
The judging category was drama, and it was conducted in a way that comprehensively evaluates the creativity and quality of works submitted from various countries. The final nominees for each category will be announced next month, and the awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on November 24 in New York.
Seo Jang-ho, head of CJ ENM's content distribution business, who hosted this judging, said, "CJ ENM has emerged as a global IP powerhouse, enhancing the global competitiveness of K-content based on systematic production capabilities and unique IP planning since it started its cultural business 30 years ago with the dream of becoming a global content company," adding, "It is very meaningful to host the International Emmy Awards judging, and we will continue to do our best to promote the value of Korean culture worldwide with super-gap content that transcends borders, so that K-content can shine even more on the global stage."
On the 16th, 'CJ ENM Global Partners Day' was held for cultural content exchange. About 50 people from the global entertainment industry, including Yoon Sang-hyun, CEO of CJ ENM, and Jung Jong-hwan, head of CJ ENM's content and global business, as well as judges, attended.
At the event, △Lee Yoon-kyung, head of the Content Research Division at the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, △Lee Young-ah, in charge of strategic planning at Olive Young, shared global Hallyu trends, including K-beauty. Also, △Park Sang-hyuk, head of the media business division, △Director Jung Ji-in of the drama 'Jeong Nyeon-i', which is the first in the world to be based on national drama, △Son Ja-young CP of 'Marry My Husband', which is gaining attention for its Japanese remake, and △Yoon Shin-hye, head of Mnet's business division, who oversaw 'MAMA AWARDS' and 'I-LAND', which opened a new horizon for music content, discussed the global influence and expansion direction of K-content. In addition, through a tour of the CJ ENM Studio Center located in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, they showcased CJ ENM's innovative production system, including the virtual production stage and content production site.
