[Financial News] Prime Minister Kim Min-seok dispatched Minister Song Mi-ryeong of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to the site in Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, where heavy rain and landslides caused significant human casualties on the 20th. This is a swift response to the large-scale damage in the Sancheong area due to the torrential rain.
The Prime Minister's Office stated, "Prime Minister Kim has ordered the rapid recovery and preparation of recovery measures, noting that Gyeongnam Sancheong-gun, among others, suffered particularly significant human and property damage due to the unusual heavy rain, and dispatched the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to the site today."
The Prime Minister's Office also added, "Tomorrow, the Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the main department for disaster response, will inspect the site, console the affected residents, and prepare detailed recovery measures."
Since the 16th, due to the severe heavy rain and landslides, as of 5 a.m. today, 6 people have died, 2 are seriously injured, and 7 are missing in Sancheong, Gyeongnam.
