[Financial News] LG Electronics announced on the 20th that it held the 'Now, Everything We Do Creates the LG Electronics Brand' (Life’s Good ON AIR) event to internalize brand value among employees.
This event was organized to integrate the brand promise of creating a better life with an optimistic attitude into the daily lives and work of employees and to share examples of practicing brand value based on consumer experience. In particular, it was conducted in a way that applied the concept of a radio DJ, delivering cases experienced by members along with music.
On the 23rd of last month, CEO Cho Joo-wan participated as a radio DJ and communicated directly with the members. CEO Cho introduced the planning background of the WashTower as a representative case showing the value of 'human-centered innovation'.
In the past, it was common to install a dryer separately on top of a washing machine, but for shorter people, the dryer control panel was out of reach, causing inconvenience. An employee who observed this proposed the WashTower, which integrates the two products and places the control panel in the center, solving the inconvenience.
CEO Cho emphasized, "The practice of empathizing with and solving customer inconveniences is the starting point of the 'Life’s Good' brand promise," and "small observations by members can lead to innovations that change customers' lives for the better."
The event was held sequentially over about a month, starting at the LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul, and at 11 business sites nationwide. The number of participants reached about 15,000. Key executives, including business division heads and overseas sales division heads, also visited the sites to share the brand message with members. An LG Electronics representative said, "We are also informing global customers of our brand philosophy," adding, "Recently, we are spreading optimism through a global campaign 'Music Station Delivering Smiles' that conveys messages of gratitude and support through the universal language of music."
