[Financial News] Due to continuous heavy rainfall, rivers have overflowed, and evacuation orders have been issued to residents in parts of Jinju and Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam.
Jinju City sent an emergency disaster text message at 11:48 a.m. on the 19th, warning that the river in Myeongseok-myeon had overflowed and the surrounding area was at risk of flooding, urging residents to evacuate.
A city official said, "It has been confirmed that the evacuation order was issued at the request of the Myeongseok-myeon chief, and residents are evacuating to nearby senior centers."
Hapcheon-gun also sent an emergency disaster text message at 11:50 a.m. stating, 'The entire urban area of Hapcheon-eup is flooding, so residents are advised to evacuate immediately. Shelters have been set up in Hapcheon Elementary School and Hapcheon Middle School, as well as gymnasiums in local elementary, middle, and high schools.'
