Train and Road Closures Due to Heavy Rain

[Financial News] The heavy rain that began on the 16th, focusing on the central region, continues for the fourth day, spreading damage across the country until this weekend.
According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters on the 19th, as of 6 a.m. that day, the human casualties were 4 dead and 2 missing, the same as the previous day. The deceased were 1 in Osan, Gyeonggi, 2 in Seosan, Chungnam, and 1 in Dangjin, Chungnam, with 2 missing in Buk-gu, Gwangju.
Facility damage continues to increase. There were 388 cases of road flooding, 133 cases of soil loss, and 57 cases of river facility collapse, totaling 729 cases of public facility damage. There were also 64 cases of building flooding and 59 cases of farmland flooding, reaching 1014 cases of private facility damage.
The number of temporarily evacuated residents was counted at 7029 from 4995 households in 72 cities and counties across 13 provinces. Of these, 2816 people from 2028 households have not yet returned home.
Due to the heavy rain, train operations nationwide have also been suspended. Seven train lines, including the Gyeongbu Line (Seoul~Busan), Honam Line (Daejeon~Mokpo), Janghang Line (Cheonan~Iksan), Seohae Line (Hongseong~Siwaseong), Chungbuk Line (Osong~Jecheon), Gyeongjeon Line (Samnangjin~Gwangju Songjeong), and Jeolla Line (Iksan~Yeosu Expo), have stopped operating.
Road closures are also in effect. 57 underpasses, 12 underground roads, and 302 small bridges (Sewolgyo) are under control, and access is restricted to 255 riverbank areas, 170 riverside parking lots, and 22 campsites.
Between midnight and 5 a.m. on the 19th, the accumulated rainfall by region was 158.5mm in Boseong, Jeonnam, 132.0mm in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, 128.5mm in Incheon, 110.0mm in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi, 109.5mm in Siheung, Gyeonggi, 102.0mm in Ulsan, and 63.5mm in Hwasun, Jeonnam, with heavy rain falling across the country.
As of 10 a.m. that day, the Korea Meteorological Administration issued a heavy rain warning focusing on the Chungcheong and southern regions. In the Jeolla and Gyeongsang regions, strong rain of 30~80mm per hour, accompanied by gusts, thunder, and lightning, is occurring, and rain of 5~30mm per hour continues in most areas nationwide.
