'Sign Language Avatar' is a 3D avatar video that uses sign language, and NongHyup Bank guides hearing-impaired customers to use financial transactions more easily and intuitively through avatars on electronic counter monitors. The sign language avatar explains how to connect to the 'Sign Language Consultation Video Consultation Service' and will naturally assist customers in their consultations.
NongHyup Bank has been operating the 'Sign Language Video Consultation Service' that connects with professional sign language consultants and the 'Easy Language Chatting Service' that explains in simple terms. With the introduction of the sign language avatar, it is expected that a more three-dimensional service that enhances customer communication satisfaction at face-to-face counters will be possible. This service will be gradually expanded from 16 branches near the National Association of Rehabilitation for the Disabled nationwide.
Kim Yonghwan, Head of Process Innovation at NongHyup Bank, said, “We are considering various ways from systems to people-centered services so that everyone can use financial services equally,” and “We will continue to practice ESG management so that financially vulnerable groups can use finance conveniently without discrimination.”
