[Financial News] YouTuber Tzuyang (real name Park Jeongwon) filed for a provisional disposition to delete a video that claimed 'there is a force related to China' regarding her, and the court accepted it. Meanwhile, the objection hearing date requested by the lawyer Kim Soyeon, representing YouTuber Gujaeyuk who appeared in the video, has been set for the 13th of next month.
According to Financial News coverage on the 18th, the objection hearing for Tzuyang's 'post deletion and prohibition' will be held at 2:30 PM on August 13 at the Daejeon District Court.
Previously, last month, the 21st Civil Division of the Daejeon District Court partially granted Tzuyang's application for a provisional disposition against lawyer Kim and YouTube channel 'Saemaeul Broadcasting' operator Mr. Kim, ordering the deletion and prohibition of some videos. This was due to the reason that the video seriously damaged Tzuyang's social evaluation and had potential for privacy invasion.
In the controversial video, lawyer Kim claimed that there was a 'force related to China' behind Tzuyang and discussed issues related to Tzuyang's private life, such as entertainment venue visits and abortion.
Currently, lawyer Kim's side argues that "the statement about Chinese forces was not aimed at Tzuyang, and it was merely confirming facts already disclosed through Tzuyang and the media, so it is not an intimate area but confirmed facts."
On the other hand, Tzuyang's side argues that "the statements in the video violated Tzuyang's personality rights and honor," and "a main lawsuit for mental damage compensation will also proceed in the future," indicating that a second legal battle is expected to intensify.
