Chae Sang-byeong Special Prosecutor "Confirmation of Rescue Lobby Circumstances to Yoon...Search and Seizure of Lee Cheol-gyu, Lim Seong-geun, and Far East Broadcasting"

[Financial News] The special prosecutor team of Chae Sang-byeong (Lee Myung-hyun special prosecutor) confirmed the circumstances that a rescue lobby was conducted for former Marine 1st Division Commander Lim Seong-geun through former President Yoon Seok-yeol and his aides.
Jeong Min-young, special prosecutor, said at a regular briefing on the morning of the 18th, "We are conducting a search and seizure of the homes and offices of former Commander Lim Seong-geun and Lee Cheol-gyu, a member of the People Power Party," and explained, "We have confirmed the circumstances that the rescue lobby for Lim Seong-geun is connected through various channels starting from former Commander Lim and his surrounding figures to the president or figures around the presidential office."
It is reported that the search and seizure warrant for former Commander Lim includes charges of occupational negligence and abuse of authority.
Member Lee Cheol-gyu is being searched and seized as a reference. Jeong special prosecutor said, "We have already secured the call history or message exchanges at the time of the incident in 2023," and stated that the search and seizure is being conducted to verify the contents.
The special prosecutor team explained that the calls between Member Lee and those involved in the rescue lobby allegations took place between July and August 2023. Jeong special prosecutor said, "There is a problematic point in time, and there are circumstances where people related to this case continued to contact each other at that time," and stated that the search and seizure is being conducted to verify this. 
The special prosecutor announced that simultaneous search and seizure operations are being conducted on more than 10 places, including the homes and offices of references, in addition to former Commander Lim, Member Lee, and Far East Broadcasting. Jeong special prosecutor added, "There is a Far East Broadcasting official among those who exchanged contacts," and "We are currently conducting a search and seizure on Far East Broadcasting as well."
