Operating three locations: Dongdaemun Branch, Suwon Station Branch, Onyang Financial Center from 10 AM to 3 PM on Sundays
The 'Sunday Branch' is designed to allow foreign workers and foreign residents nearby, who find it difficult to visit the bank on weekdays, to conveniently use counter services. It offers various services such as account opening, check card application, internet banking, and overseas remittance. Operating hours are every Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM, with dedicated interpreters available for smooth consultations.
Shinhan Bank analyzed factors such as the scale of foreign residents by region, floating population, and customer accessibility to prioritize areas with high foreign populations but low financial accessibility.
A Shinhan Bank representative said, "Foreign customers who find it difficult to visit the bank during weekday working hours can now comfortably conduct financial consultations and transactions over the weekend," adding, "We will continue to expand various specialized channels to ensure foreign customers can easily and conveniently use financial services in their daily lives."
Meanwhile, Shinhan Bank is operating 'Foreign-Centric Branches' in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Doksan-dong, Seoul, and is preparing to open an additional branch in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, in August. The 'Foreign-Centric Branch' is a specialized foreign financial consultation branch equipped with a general branch counter environment for face-to-face consultations such as account opening and overseas remittance, and a 'Digital Lounge' offering financial consultations in 10 foreign languages via video conferencing.
