[Financial News] Actor Ahn Hyo-seop will make his screen debut through 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint', one of Korea's super IPs.
The movie 'Jeonjoksi', which opens on the 23rd, is a fantasy action film where the world in the novel becomes reality on the day the novel, serialized for over 10 years, is completed. The only reader, 'Kim Dok-ja', struggles to survive in the destroyed world with the novel's protagonist 'Yoo Joong-hyuk' and his colleagues. Ahn Hyo-seop played the role of the ordinary office worker Kim Dok-ja.
Ahn Hyo-seop met at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul on the 16th and said about Lee Min-ho, who played Yoo Joong-hyuk, "He was my celebrity and hero during my teenage years."
Having immigrated to Canada during his childhood and spent his adolescence there, he said, "My brother approached me casually as if we had seen each other yesterday, saying 'Did you eat?' which made me very comfortable," and "Since I had watched his works while in Canada, he was no different from a celebrity to me. Just as Yoo Joong-hyuk is to the reader in the drama, he was a celebrity, idol, and hero to me, so it was naturally connected when acting."
In the drama, Ahn Hyo-seop is disappointed with the novel's ending where only Yoo Joong-hyuk survives, and struggles to create his own ending different from the novel.

'K-Pop Demon Hunters' Voice Acting Gains Global Popularity

Ahn Hyo-seop recently voiced 'Jin-woo' of the boy group Lion Voice in Netflix's 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', which is gaining global popularity. He did the English voice acting but did not participate in the Korean dubbing.
When asked why, he expressed regret, saying "The schedule didn't match," and "After reading the script, Jin-woo's character was so cool that I participated in the dubbing." When a video of Ahn Hyo-seop covering Jin-woo's song was uploaded on SNS, fans commented on his singing skills, saying "It's a shame to end as a trainee," as he is a former trainee of JYP Entertainment.
Ahn Hyo-seop said, "I decided it's better to keep singing as a hobby," and "I wanted to focus and do well in either singing or acting. Being a movie actor was a dream I had since childhood. Seeing my face on the screen this time was overwhelming, but I was happy to achieve my dream," he smiled.
Being introverted, he showed a serious side in acting that day, drawing attention.
