[Financial News] Lee Jin-sook, the candidate for Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, failed to provide proper answers to various educational issues during the confirmation hearing, and the content of the 'Post-it' attached to the candidate's seat became controversial.
The candidate, vague answers or bluntly "I know well"

The candidate, during the confirmation hearing held by the National Assembly Education Committee on the 16th, was seen fumbling through documents or receiving help from the Ministry of Education officials seated behind whenever questions related to major educational issues were raised.

She often gave vague answers or repeatedly said "I know well" without providing substantial responses, leading to sighs from opposition party members.

Cho Jung-hoon, a member of the People Power Party and a secretary of the Education Committee, pointed out when the candidate was flipping through a booklet in response to a question about measures to reduce private education costs, "Don't look at that, speak honestly," and "Isn't it time to talk about yourself now?"
Ko Min-jung "Unable to provide answers to questions"... Ruling party members 'disappointed'

Ko Min-jung, a member of the Democratic Party, said, "The candidate seems to be deeply engrossed in issues related to theses and children, so she cannot provide clear answers to other questions," and "I asked whether AIDT is educational material or a textbook, but why can't she answer that one question? Even when a question is casually posed, the candidate's educational philosophy should naturally come out. It's very disappointing, I must say."

Especially towards the end of the confirmation hearing, the candidate's 'cheating' controversy arose.

Kim Dae-sik, a member of the People Power Party, asked during the hearing, "There is a Post-it attached above the minister candidate, right?"

He continued, "There is a Post-it in front of the candidate saying 'Answer that you know well when you don't know', 'Answer that you know well and don't provide an answer', 'Avoid immediate answers to difficult questions and take time', 'Give evasive answers'."

In response, Cho Jung-hoon said, "I couldn't find the answer at today's hearing as to why the Lee Jae-myung government wants to appoint this candidate as Minister of Education," and "It's so rude that even the Ministry of Education officials behind the candidate would hand notes like 'Don't answer', 'Give evasive answers' out of concern for the candidate."

Kim Young-ho, the chairman of the National Assembly Education Committee from the Democratic Party, also said, "Public officials say they attached it for the minister, but you shouldn't attach such things for the minister," and "If such a sticker is attached, don't throw it away and give it to me after the hearing. I will check it directly again."

Meanwhile, the confirmation hearing started at 10 AM and ended at 11:41 PM, exceeding 13 hours.
