Hana Financial Group Donates 2 Billion Won for Recovery of Areas Affected by Heavy Rain and Aid for Flood Victims

Delivery of 1111 Happiness Boxes and Support for Mobile Meal and Laundry Trucks
[Financial News] Hana Financial Group announced on the 18th that it will donate a total of 2 billion won to quickly restore areas affected by nationwide heavy rain in regions such as Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Yeongnam, and to support flood victims. Hana Financial also promised group-level financial support for individuals and businesses affected by the flood. Hana Financial decided to deliver a total of 2 billion won, voluntarily raised by 15 group affiliates, to areas in need such as recovery projects in affected areas and emergency relief projects for flood victims. They also plan to deliver 1111 sets of Happiness Boxes containing daily necessities and medicines for flood victims affected by the heavy rain. Additionally, they will support mobile meal and laundry trucks for flood victims and recovery personnel sweating at the flood sites.
Ham Young-joo, Chairman of Hana Financial Group, stated, “We will focus all group capabilities to help communities and customers suffering from unprecedented heavy rain return to daily life as soon as possible,” and added, “All employees of Hana Financial Group will actively participate in the recovery of affected areas and support for flood victims with the mindset of being with you.”
Hana Bank, a major affiliate, supports emergency living stabilization loans of up to 50 million won for individuals affected by heavy rain. For small and medium-sized enterprises, they provide new funds such as emergency management stabilization loans of up to 500 million won per company.
In case of existing loan maturity, they support maturity extension within a maximum of one year without principal repayment and defer installment repayment within a maximum of six months, and also proceed with loan interest rate reduction within a maximum range of 1.3%p.
Hana Card promised financial support such as a maximum six-month billing deferment and a maximum six-month installment repayment for credit card payment funds. They also decided to offer a 30% discount on fees for long and short-term card loans used up to six months after the heavy rain damage date.
Hana Life defers payment of insurance premiums and insurance loan interest for up to 12 months and pays insurance claims as quickly as possible for accident insurance claims related to heavy rain damage.
Hana Insurance provides financial support such as deferring insurance premium payments for up to six months for long-term insurance subscribers affected by heavy rain, and pays up to 50% of estimated insurance claims in advance even before accident investigation completion when claiming insurance for heavy rain damage.
