290.4 billion KRW Invested to Reduce Debt Burden
Support for Long-Term Installment Payments and Interest Rate Reduction Special Cases
[Financial News] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 18th that it held an on-site communication meeting to alleviate the financial burden on small business owners at the Daejeon Small Business Market Promotion Corporation Policy Research Institute.
At the meeting, small business owners who are faithfully repaying their loans using the Financial 3-Set or Hope Recharge Project, and debt adjustment experts participated.
This event was organized to listen to the difficulties of small business owners using policy funds and debt adjustment systems, and to guide the support policies of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, such as long-term installment payments and interest rate reduction projects promoted by the second supplementary budget.
Participants in the meeting shared opinions on the need for preferential policies for faithful payers and difficulties in procuring private finance during the restart process. Officials from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Small Business Market Promotion Corporation, and the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund also attended to explain the support policies.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to allocate and promote 290.4 billion KRW in the second supplementary budget this year for the small business debt burden reduction program for small business owners who are faithfully repaying policy funds and guarantees. For small business owners facing management difficulties who are faithfully repaying, long-term installment payments and interest rate reduction special cases will be supported, and special guarantees will be provided for closed small business owners who are faithfully repaying.
Choi Won-young, Director of the Small Business Policy Office of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, stated, "Despite the difficult conditions of rising prices and operating costs, we have promoted the long-term installment payment project to provide practical help to small business owners who have been faithfully repaying. The opinions given here today will be fully discussed with related ministries as well as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to alleviate the financial burden on small business owners."
