[Financial News] KB Capital announced on the 18th that it is promoting a road safety facility construction project to prevent traffic accidents and ensure pedestrian safety for children in Indonesia.
The project is a social contribution activity of KB Capital that has been steadily continuing for three years since 2023. KB Capital has consistently selected two schools each year to build road safety facilities, and by this year, it will continue practical support to strengthen pedestrian safety for a total of six schools.
The project selected two elementary schools with poor road environments around them through prior consultation with KB Capital's local subsidiary in Indonesia (SKBF·Sunindo Kookmin Best Finance) and the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation. A budget of 100 million won will be invested to thoroughly investigate traffic volume and traffic environment near the schools and to construct safety facilities such as crosswalks, speed bumps, and signs.
In addition, a traffic safety awareness education campaign involving local traffic police will be conducted to raise awareness among children and adolescents about the importance of preventing traffic accidents and to support the development of safe traffic habits.
