[Financial News] Aju Group is selling its AI-specialized subsidiary Cognit9 to an external party and transitioning to a strategic partnership system.
Aju Group announced on the 17th that it is selling its stake in Cognit9 to Newberry Global while simultaneously participating as a strategic investor. Newberry Global is the holding company of Bespin Global, a global cloud management service company.
Cognit9 is the first AI managed service provider (AI MSP) in Korea, specializing in supporting the entire process of customized AI adoption for enterprises. After Aju Group acquired the IT company MTCom in 2017, it changed its name to Cognit9 in 2021 and transitioned into a full-fledged AI specialist company.
Aju Group has expanded its AI customer base, focusing on the financial industry. It has also verified market potential and growth directions through Cognit9. However, with the rapid evolution of generative AI technology and market changes, the decision was made under the judgment that collaboration with external partners is essential.
An Aju Group representative said, "AI and cloud are the core foundations of future industries," adding, "We will actively seek sustainable growth opportunities while flexibly responding to changes in the digital technology paradigm."
With this transition, Cognit9 is expected to further strengthen its AI and cloud integration capabilities through technological synergy with Bespin Global affiliates. Aju Group also plans to continuously support the growth of Cognit9 as a strategic partner.
