[Financial News] The KOSPI is showing a slight increase as institutions that were net sellers in the morning have turned to net buyers in the afternoon.
According to the Korea Exchange on the 17th, as of 2:37 PM, the KOSPI is trading at 3190.29, up 3.91p (0.12%). The KOSPI, which started at 3201.42, up 15.04p (0.47%) from the previous day, fell to 3152.42 at one point in the morning due to selling by institutions and foreigners.
In the stock market, institutions are net buying 1106 billion won, while individuals and foreigners are net selling 1817 billion won and 181 billion won, respectively.
By industry, pharmaceuticals (4.21%), transportation equipment/parts (2.16%), and insurance (1.76%) are strong, while paper/wood (-0.82%), electricity/electronics (0.82%), and IT services (-0.82%) are weak.
Among the top market cap stocks, Hanwha Aerospace (5.62%), Samsung Biologics (3.87%), and Samsung Electronics (3.09%) are on the rise, while SK Hynix (-8.95%), Naver (-2.60%), and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (-0.37%) are declining.
The KOSDAQ is trading at 816.72, up 4.49p (0.55%) from the previous day. Individuals bought 1413 billion won, while foreigners and institutions sold 1124 billion won and 112 billion won, respectively.
