Hyundai Card announced on the 17th that it is recommending Executive Vice President Cho Chang-hyun as co-CEO and is proceeding with the appointment process.
Executive Vice President Cho was recommended as a CEO candidate through the Executive Candidate Recommendation Committee held on the 9th and is expected to be finally appointed after the extraordinary shareholders' meeting and board meeting on the 30th.
Executive Vice President Cho is recognized as a practical leader with solid experience in various fields of credit cards, including marketing strategy, credit sales planning, CLM (Customer Lifecycle Management), and financial sales. He is also highly trusted by employees for his meticulous leadership and open communication skills demonstrated across various organizations.
In 2021, Hyundai Card introduced the co-CEO system to pursue both qualitative and quantitative growth amidst a rapidly changing business environment. Vice Chairman Jung Tae-young focuses on the company's innovation, transition to a tech company, and structural improvement, concentrating on long-term future strategies. Additionally, the 'management-type CEO' is delegated authority over overall management from Vice Chairman Jung Tae-young, focusing on management, efficiency improvement, and operational stabilization to run the organization stably and efficiently. This structure has successfully established itself over five years, yielding high performance.
In terms of performance and profitability, stable results have been recorded. Key performance indicators such as Hyundai Card's operating revenue and operating profit have been continuously growing over the past five years.
