Previously, on the 11th, two Korean women assaulted two Vietnamese women at an instant photo booth in the My Dinh area of Hanoi's Korean town. It is reported that the Korean women, who were waiting for their turn, started an argument by telling the Vietnamese women who were taking photos to finish quickly, leading to the assault.
According to CCTV footage, one of the Korean women slapped a Vietnamese woman with her palm and kicked the fallen woman. The two then engaged in a physical fight, pulling each other's hair.
As the CCTV footage spread online, anger is growing in Vietnam. The Korean Embassy in Vietnam stated that the local police investigation is ongoing and that they are cooperating sincerely.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated that they are communicating with the Vietnamese government to prevent this incident from escalating diplomatically.
