Megazone Cloud Collaborates with Aizen Science for AI Transition in Drug Development

[Financial News] Megazone Cloud announced on the 17th that it is promoting digital transformation in the field of drug development with Aizen Science, an AI drug development company.
On the 16th, the two companies signed a 'business agreement (MOU) for AI-based drug development cooperation' at the Megazone Cloud liaison office in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, attended by key officials including representatives from both sides.
Aizen Science is an AI-based drug development specialist company founded through Korea University Technology Holdings. It efficiently develops small molecule synthetic drugs in the field of intractable diseases through its own AI platform. Last year, it was selected for the Scale-up TIPS, which is supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and private investors to promote technological innovation and global market entry of promising companies with high growth potential.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly market to pharmaceutical customers such as drug developers and contract research organizations (CROs), and expand the use of cloud-based AI.
Megazone Cloud provides high-performance GPU-centric cloud infrastructure to ensure smooth operation of Aizen Science's AI-based drug development platforms, Aizen Insight and Aizen ChemTailor, as well as the biomedical specialized language model Meerkat, and supports operation and technical consulting. Aizen Science participates in joint business development in the pharmaceutical field based on its own AI technology.
The two companies plan to gradually expand the scope of cooperation by conducting various joint marketing activities such as seminars, conferences, and promotions, and sharing cloud operation experience and infrastructure optimization know-how.
Megazone Cloud CEO Yeom Dong-hoon said, “Among the cases where AI technology is actually changing the industry, drug development is one of the fields with the greatest potential and impact,” and added, “Megazone Cloud will continue to expand AI technology support so that domestic drug development companies, including Aizen Science, can implement optimal technology in a stable environment and grow.”
