High-end sales competition in Seoul and Busan
[Financial News] As apartment transactions over 5 billion won in Seoul have more than doubled in a year, high-end complex supplies continue in major regions nationwide, attracting attention.
On the 17th, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's actual transaction data, there were 385 transactions over 5 billion won in Seoul in the first half of this year, a 2.4-fold increase compared to 158 transactions in the same period last year. The sales of high-priced residential products are also proceeding smoothly. 'Blanc Summit 74' in Dong-gu, Busan, succeeded in completing all contracts for apartments (998 households) in July following the complete sale of all office units (276 units) last month.
An industry official said, "High-end housing is perceived as an asset symbolizing lifestyle and status beyond just a living space," and predicted, "The demand for high-end housing that provides differentiated value will continue."
Meanwhile, high-end residential product supplies are continuing in Seoul, Busan, Gwacheon, and Daegu. Including the places scheduled to be supplied in July-August, there are a total of 7 complexes, amounting to over 5,100 households.
First, in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, 'The Parkside Suite', the first residential complex of 'The Parkside Seoul', has begun its supply. It consists of 775 units with exclusive areas of 53~185㎡ and is the only residential complex facing Yongsan Park, which is being developed as the Korean version of Central Park. The global ultra-luxury hotel brand Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has entered Korea for the first time and directly operates a community exclusively for residents. The subscription conducted on the 15th recorded a maximum of 41.0 to 1 (Group 5), continuing the interest of high-net-worth end-users.
Additionally, in Seocho-gu, DL E&C is preparing to supply 'Acro de Seocho', and in Gwacheon, Hyundai Construction is planning to supply 'The H Adelstar'.
In Busan, high-end brands are also competing fiercely. The first place to start sales is 'Luel Riverpark Centum' (exclusive area 84~244㎡, total 2,070 households) built by Lotte Construction in the Centum City area of Haeundae-gu. The first priority subscription will be held on the 22nd. Through the luxurious community facility 'Salon de Luel', which spans 3,300 pyeong, it is expected to upgrade Busan's residential culture by one level. The cafe lounge, where residents can enjoy breakfast service and refreshments, is also expected to provide dignified living convenience to the residents. All community facilities are prepared to be available for use immediately upon move-in for residents' convenience, and the basic management and operating costs of the community will be provided free of charge for two years. This complex, designed with a maximum of 67 floors, boasts a unique design by applying luxurious curtain walls and media facades.
In Busan, Daewoo Construction's 'Summit' brand is also preparing for sales. 'Summit Limited Namcheon' in Namcheon-dong, Suyeong-gu, and 'Seomyeon Summit The New' in Jeonpo-dong, Busanjin-gu, are scheduled to be supplied.
