[Financial News]  Larry Ellison, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Oracle, has seen his net worth surge, surpassing Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, to become the world's second richest person.
On the 16th (local time), Fox Business reported, citing the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, that Ellison's assets increased by $26 billion (approximately 36 trillion won) last month to $251 billion (approximately 349 trillion won), placing him in second place.
Ellison's assets have increased by $59 billion (approximately 82 trillion won) this year alone.
Oracle's stock price also rose by 5.7% on the 15th, buoyed by news of the U.S. government's approval for NVIDIA and AMD's AI chip exports to China.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk ($366 billion, approximately 509 trillion won) remains the richest person.
Following him are Zuckerberg ($247 billion) in third place, Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder ($243 billion), and Steve Ballmer, former Microsoft CEO ($174 billion) in fourth and fifth places, respectively.
Ellison joined the ranks of billionaires in 1993, and it is known that 80% of his assets consist of Oracle stocks and others.
