The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "Until tomorrow (18th), very strong and heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning will fall in most regions nationwide," adding, "The rain falling on this day will be very strong and heavy in narrow areas, resulting in significant differences in rainfall intensity and amount depending on the region, and some areas may experience intermittent lulls."
Furthermore, "As strong rainfall occurs in a short time, river water may suddenly rise, so please refrain from approaching and camping, and pay attention to facility management, pedestrian safety accidents, and lightning accidents," they added.
The expected rainfall is △Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi 50~120mm (more than 180mm in southern Gyeonggi) △West Sea 5 Islands 5~40mm △Gangwon inland/mountainous areas 50~100mm (more than 150mm in central/southern inland Gangwon) △Gangwon east coast 5~40mm △Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, Chungbuk 50~150mm (more than 180mm in Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam) △Jeonbuk 30~100mm (more than 150mm in western Jeonbuk) △Gwangju, Jeonnam 20~80mm (more than 100mm in northern Jeonnam west coast) △Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, northern inland Gyeongbuk 30~80mm (more than 100mm near Jirisan) △Daegu, Gyeongbuk (excluding northern inland Gyeongbuk) 10~60mm △Ulleungdo, Dokdo 5~20mm △Jeju mountainous areas/mid-mountain areas 30~80mm (more than 100mm in mountainous areas) △Jeju (excluding northern/mountainous/mid-mountain areas) 20~60mm △Northern Jeju 5~30mm.
The temperature will be similar to the average (lowest 20~23°C, highest 26~31°C). While rain will lower temperatures in most regions nationwide, from the day after tomorrow (19th), the maximum perceived temperature during the day will rise to around 33°C in most regions due to high humidity.
The highest daytime temperatures will range from 26~31°C. Major regional daytime highs are Seoul 28°C, Incheon 28°C, Suwon 27°C, Chuncheon 26°C, Gangneung 30°C, Cheongju 29°C, Daejeon 29°C, Jeonju 28°C, Gwangju 29°C, Daegu 31°C, Busan 30°C, Jeju 32°C.
