'Severance: Severance' is a suspense drama about corporate employees who have undergone a 'severance surgery' that perfectly separates their work and personal selves, directed by famous actor and director Ben Stiller. Immediately after the release of Season 1, it won two Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards and five HCA TV Awards. After Season 2 was released through Apple TV+ in January this year, it recorded the highest number of viewers on the platform within a month, and after the release of the final episode of Season 2, it became the first Apple TV+ series to enter the Nielsen ratings top 10.
Additionally, the movie 'Nonnas', produced by Fifth Season and released through Netflix in May, was nominated for Best TV Movie. Including works distributed and released such as 'Slow Horses', 'Pachinko', and 'An Evening with Dua Lipa', it has been nominated in a total of 36 categories.
A CJ ENM representative said, "Fifth Season, CJ ENM's global forward base, has proven its strength by producing the most nominated works at the Emmy Awards, the most prestigious award in the broadcasting industry," and added, "This year, we will present various premium content that combines both artistry and commercial success, moving closer to the vision of being a 'global IP powerhouse'."
Fifth Season is also accelerating the expansion of its premium content lineup this year. It released 'Nine Perfect Strangers' Season 2, starring Nicole Kidman, and the movie 'Friendship', which received acclaim at the SXSW Festival, in May, and is currently working on new projects with global star creators such as world-renowned tennis star Serena Williams and two-time Golden Globe-winning actress Laura Linney.
