NC AI Hosts Game Production Contest Using 'VARCO 3D'

[Financial News] NCSoft's artificial intelligence (AI) subsidiary NC AI announced on the 18th that it will hold the 1st VARCO 3D Game Production Contest.
Through this contest, NC AI will provide the AI-based 3D production tool 'VARCO 3D', developed with the goal of improving game production efficiency, to creators in a Software as a Service (SaaS) format.
During the contest period, creators can quickly create and apply 3D assets (development data) used in games using VARCO 3D, which is provided for free.
The company explained that VARCO 3D is characterized by its intuitive interface and high-quality results, maximizing production efficiency.
Applications for participation can be made through the official website and partnership page until the 31st, and the official competition will start next month.
A total of 7.5 million won in prize money will be awarded to 7 teams, including △Grand Prize (1 team) 3 million won △Excellence Award (1 team) 2 million won △Merit Award (5 teams) 500,000 won each.
Yeon-su Lee, CEO of NC AI, stated, "This contest will provide more creators with the experience of game production using AI technology and will serve as an opportunity to expand creative attempts and diversity in the Korean indie game industry," adding, "We will continue our efforts to achieve the two goals of enhancing production efficiency and strengthening creative capabilities through AI technology."
