Kumho Construction has been selected as the preferred bidder for three private participation public housing projects in the 3rd new town: Uiwang Gunpo Ansan District (724.7 billion won), Namyangju Wangsuk District (598.6 billion won), and Hanam Gyosan District (257 billion won). Including the Gwangmyeong Hakon District (314.8 billion won) project selected at the end of last year, the total scale is 1.9 trillion won.
The private participation public housing project is a supply model that combines public interest and business feasibility, where public entities like Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) or Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) provide the land and private companies construct the housing. It is a public sale, so the sale price is lower than that of private supply housing, reducing concerns about unsold units and allowing for stable construction cost financing.
Recently, as expectations for public housing have increased, the demand for construction companies with comprehensive capabilities from design to construction and operation has also increased. Kumho Construction is actively proposing integrated master plans and specialized designs tailored to the characteristics of each complex, receiving high scores from project evaluation committees and being recognized for its capabilities.
Meanwhile, the new residential brand 'Artera (ARTERA)' recently entered the top 5 in a residential brand reputation survey. After launching the new brand last year, it has raised brand awareness with consecutive sell-outs and new complex move-ins. Artera is expected to be applied to the complexes in Namyangju Wangsuk District and Uiwang Gunpo Ansan District, which have recently been selected as preferred bidders, creating a large-scale Artera town in the northeastern and southwestern regions of Gyeonggi Province.
A Kumho Construction representative said, "As the order volume for the 3rd new town is being realized, we are actively participating in the related market and achieving good results," and added, "Based on Kumho Construction's strengths in public projects, we will continue to expand orders and improve performance in private participation public housing projects."
