[Financial News] The existence of the pet dog raised by President Lee Jaemyung and his wife has been revealed, bringing past YouTube videos back into the spotlight.

According to the Blue House on the 15th, the name of President Lee's pet dog is 'Bobby', known to be a puppy raised by his recently married eldest son and his wife. The breed is a Maltipoo, a crossbreed between a Maltese and a Poodle.

President Lee posted on his social networking service (SNS) the previous day, saying, "I introduce 'Bobby', a member of our family, to the people," and uploaded four photos taken with the pet dog.

The photos show Bobby sitting on the same chair as President Lee, holding a toy in his mouth, or resting in President Lee's arms while he looks at his phone outdoors.

President Lee also shared an anecdote, saying, "Bobby keeps going to my wife," and "In fact, there was a slight conflict with my wife this morning because of Bobby."

He continued, "In the era of 15 million pet owners, more than one in four of our people live with pets," and "Through Bobby, who provides small happiness and warm comfort just by existing, I can understand the hearts of many people living with pets more deeply."

Bobby's appearance has brought renewed attention to a video uploaded to President Lee's official YouTube channel three years ago.

The video shows President Lee in light blue pajamas having a fun time with the puppy. When the puppy, irritated by President Lee's teasing, barks "Woof!", President Lee laughs as if amused. Watching this, Kim Hye-gyeong, the First Lady, bursts into laughter, saying, "Did you get bitten? Why tease?"

President Lee also expressed deep affection for Bobby during a special lecture held at the National Human Resources Development Institute in Jincheon, Chungcheongbuk-do.

He said, "Through Bobby, who provides small happiness and warm comfort just by existing, I can understand the hearts of people living with pets more deeply."

He continued, "I will strive to create a society overflowing with respect and consideration for life," and emphasized, "I envision South Korea as an advanced animal welfare nation where people and animals coexist harmoniously and enrich each other's lives."
