[Financial News] RaonSecure announced on the 16th that it will expand the digital identity authentication and credential verification system to the private sector in Costa Rica.
This project is part of the '2025 Korea-Costa Rica Digital Government Cooperation Center Joint Cooperation Project' by the Korea Intelligence Information Society Agency (NIA), and RaonSecure established a function to issue tax certificates and store them in a digital wallet app by linking with the Ministry of Finance system through the Costa Rica public digital wallet development project last year.
Now, the digital wallet system will be supported to safely issue and store educational certificates from Costa Rica's 'Smart Community Center (CECI)' and qualification certificates from the 'Association of Architects and Engineers (CFIA)'.
The 'OmniOne Open DID' technology will be applied to the Costa Rica Institute of Technology (TEC) to establish a digital ID system. OmniOne Open DID is the open-source version of RaonSecure's blockchain-based digital identity and credential authentication integrated platform, 'OmniOne Digital ID'. Through this, major academic services such as student ID cards, transcripts, and course completion certificates will be provided via a mobile app.
Lee Soon-hyung, CEO of RaonSecure, said, "We expect the spread of blockchain-based digital ID in Costa Rica to become full-fledged with this project," adding, "RaonSecure will lead the innovation of digital identity authentication and credential verification."
