【Financial News Hongcheon=Kim Ki-seop Reporter】Hongcheon County announced on the 16th that County Mayor Shin Young-jae visited the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Ministry of Environment in turn to propose major current issues.
During the visit, Mayor Shin met with Kim Min-jae, Vice Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and the Director of the Disaster Management Policy Bureau, and reiterated the necessity of the Seoseok 209 Line Disaster Risk Improvement District Maintenance Project and the Hongcheon Soguni District Steep Slope Collapse Risk District Maintenance Project, which were proposed last May.
He also requested support for 8 regional current issues and a special grant tax of 4.5 billion won in the disaster safety field.
Mayor Shin also met with officials from the Financial Management Bureau of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Railway Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Resource Circulation Bureau of the Ministry of Environment, and the Director-level staff of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, focusing on passing the preliminary feasibility study of the Yongmun~Hongcheon Metropolitan Railway.
In addition, he proposed speedy support for major issues of the 8th civil election, such as the new expansion of the eco-friendly energy town and the selection of the start-up district for the multi-purpose rural water development project in Gwandol District and its early commencement.
Shin Young-jae, Hongcheon County Mayor, said, "This meeting was an opportunity to convey the necessity and urgency of Hongcheon County's issues in the situation where the second review of next year's budget proposal is underway," and "In August, we plan to prepare a customized strategy through analysis of the new government's national tasks and policy directions, and in the second half of the year, we will make every effort to solve county issues and secure budgets by frequently visiting the National Assembly and the government."
