[Financial News] After heavy rain falls in most parts of the country from this afternoon, it is expected to continue raining nationwide until the 19th.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 16th, due to the influence of a low-pressure system approaching from the west, warm and humid air is being introduced, and heavy rain of up to 200mm or more is expected from southern Gyeonggi to northwestern Jeonbuk.

In particular, from this evening to the morning of the 17th, rain is expected to be concentrated in the metropolitan area, Gangwon, Chungcheong, and Jeonbuk, with a high possibility of very heavy rain of 30 to 50mm per hour. Since this time overlaps with commuting hours, special attention is needed to prevent flooding damage and the risk of flooding in low-lying areas such as riversides and underpasses.

From the afternoon of the 17th, there is a possibility that the rain concentration area will move to Jeju and the southern regions as cold air from the north pushes down strongly.

The lowest temperature on the morning of the 16th is expected to be 19-24 degrees, and the highest temperature during the day is expected to be 26-31 degrees. The temperature will be similar to the average (lowest 20-23 degrees, highest 26-30 degrees).

Looking at the expected precipitation for the two days from the 16th to the 17th by region, 30-80mm of rain is expected in Seoul, Incheon, and northern Gyeonggi, and 50-100mm (up to 200mm or more) in southern Gyeonggi.

In Chungcheong, 50-100mm (up to 200mm or more) of rain is forecast, and in the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, 30-100mm (up to 150mm or more) of precipitation is expected.

Jeonbuk is expected to receive 30-80mm (up to 150mm or more), and Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to receive 10-60mm (up to 80mm or more) of rain.

In the northwestern inland of Gyeongbuk, 20-70mm, and in Busan, Ulsan, the southern coast of Gyeongnam, and the east coast of Gyeongbuk, 5-40mm, while the rest of the Gyeongsang region is expected to receive 10-60mm, and Jeju is expected to receive 5-40mm of rain.

After the afternoon of the 17th, rain clouds are expected to spread nationwide, and the rainy season is expected to continue until the 19th. From the 20th, the North Pacific High will expand its influence, causing the rain to stop, but the heatwave is expected to start again, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration.
