[Financial News] Hyundai Movex announced on the 15th that it has proven its global design competitiveness by winning Germany's 'Red Dot Design Award 2025', one of the world's top three design competitions. The Fork-type and Flatbody-type AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) series operated by Hyundai Movex each won the main prize in the 'Industrial Design & Robotics' category of the Red Dot Design Award.
The awarded AGV series is characterized by its performance and stability required in various industrial sites, combined with practicality and a sophisticated appearance.
The appearance of the AGV is divided into several parts. Depending on the direction of travel (unidirectional, omnidirectional), height, and transport method (conveyor, lift, etc.), various auxiliary equipment can be replaced on the AGV body to be used as equipment optimized for the work environment.
Hyundai Movex implemented these AGV module parts with sleek design lines, highlighting a clean and modern image, receiving high evaluations.
An LED screen is installed to intuitively display the operating status, and the control unit is designed to be easy for anyone to use. Additionally, the entire line is finished with gentle curves to enhance both safety and usability in work environments where robots work alongside humans.
Previously in March, Hyundai Movex submitted three types of Flatbody AGVs and won the main prize at Germany's 'iF Design Award 2025'. This has proven its global design competitiveness twice in four months at awards known as the world's top three design targets.
This achievement is the result of Hyundai Movex's continuous efforts in developing and advancing various logistics robots, including AGVs, since establishing the Cheongna R&D Center in 2019. With differentiated automation technology combined with excellent design capabilities, it is expected to gain momentum in expanding its global presence.
A Hyundai Movex representative said, "With this award as an opportunity, we will further strengthen the convergence of industrial design and robotics to continue design innovation," adding, "We plan to enhance the competitiveness of various products as a leading company in the global smart logistics market."
Hyundai Movex, along with Hyundai Elevator, is a core subsidiary of Hyundai Group led by Chairman Hyun Jeong-eun, engaging in smart logistics, subway screen doors, and IT services business.
